Does anybody remember the quick food place that was located in the little triangular shopping mall at the corner of West Balboa & The Coast Highway called The Chubby Hamburger? It stayed in business before 1963 and closed it's doors in the late 60's if I'm not mistaken. I always believed it was called The Burger most likely because the word burger on the indication, out front, was much larger than the word Chubby, I missed out on the word Chubby.

My surf- ing friend, Scott Scheid, and I would stop in there prior to or after out journeys to The Wedge ... they had the most perfect fried chicken ever and we would always consume in the automobile.
